Privacy Policy
Last updated: 3 November 2026
This privacy policy explains what personal data comos.io collects when you use this website, how we use it, and the rights you have over it.
Who We Are
comos.io is the data controller for personal data collected through this website. This means comos.io decides how and why your data is used.
If you have a question about this policy or about your data, please use our Contact Us page.
The Data We Collect
- Contact Us form. If you send us a message through our Contact Us page, we collect your name, email address, phone number if you give it, and anything you write in your message.
- Register Interest and Partners forms. If you fill in our Register Interest or Partners form, we collect your first and last name, company name, country, email address, phone number, how you would like us to contact you, and the details you give us about the services you need, your budget or your business.
- Accounts. If you have been invited to use comos.io and sign in, we hold your email address, your password (stored securely by our sign in service, never in plain text) and the permissions your account has. When you sign in, a sign in token is kept in your browser's local storage so you stay signed in. It is removed when you log out.
- Analytics. If you accept analytics cookies, Google Analytics records which pages you visit, roughly where you are (town or city level), the type of device and browser you use, and how you found our website. Google Analytics does not store your IP address. If you choose No Thanks, none of this is collected.
- Technical logs. Like most websites, our hosting providers may keep short term logs of requests to the website, which can include your IP address and browser type. These are used to keep the website secure and working.
We do not use your data for automated decision making, and we do not sell it.

Who We Share Your Data With
We only share your data with companies that help us run this website, and only as much as they need. They act on our instructions and must keep your data safe:
- Amazon Web Services, which hosts the website, the sign in service and the service that delivers form messages to us by email.
- Google, which provides Google Analytics. This only happens if you accept analytics cookies.
We may also share data if the law requires us to.
Data Outside the UK
Some of these companies may process data outside the UK, for example Google in the United States. Where that happens, the transfer is protected by the UK's adequacy regulations, including the UK Extension to the EU US Data Privacy Framework, or by the International Data Transfer Agreement or standard contractual clauses approved for use in the UK.
How Long We Keep Your Data
- Messages and enquiries are kept only for as long as we need them to deal with your enquiry and any work that follows, and to meet our legal and accounting obligations.
- Google Analytics keeps detailed analytics data for 14 months. Its cookies last up to 2 years unless you delete them or change your cookie choice.
Your Rights
Under UK data protection law you have the right to:
- ask for a copy of the personal data we hold about you
- ask us to correct data that is wrong or incomplete
- ask us to delete your data
- ask us to restrict how we use your data
- object to us using your data where we rely on our legitimate interests
- ask us to move your data to another organisation where this applies
- withdraw your consent at any time, for example by changing your choice on our Cookie Policy page
To use any of these rights, please use our Contact Us page. We will not charge you, and we will reply within one month.
Cookies
We only set analytics cookies if you accept them in our cookie banner. Our Cookie Policy lists the cookies we use and lets you change your choice at any time.
Complaints
